John has 30+ years in the telecommunications industry starting in the SQA lab of Wellfleet Communications and quickly moving into the company's professional services organization where he provide design and architecture expertise to the companies building the early commercial Internet (such as ATT Worldnet) and the companies implementing Internet connectivity. John worked as CTO/VP Engineering at Broadband Now, an early multi-tenant ISP deploying cable, DSL, ethernet, and wireless access across the US. He also worked at SAIC, a leading government technology and security contrator. As AVP of Data Network Solutions In the early 2000s his focus was on the technical solutions and business cases for municipal fiber and FTTx solutions. In 2005, John started OmniTech Advisors.
With over 30 years of extensive experience in the areas of business and technical operations, engineering, sales, marketing and the financial management of competitive telecommunications carrier businesses for both facilities based traditional wireline companies and multiple systems operators (MSO) providing voice over internet protocol services. Wendell began his career in the early 1980’s at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. He was the Program Manager responsible for the rollout and operation of the agency’s administrative voice, video and data networks across its 20+ field centers. In 1996, Wendell joined KMC Telecom, a privately held Bedminster, NJ CLEC, as its first City Director in Huntsville, Alabama. Over the next ten years, he held various senior executive positions in operations and engineering where he was responsible for design, deployment and operation of both KMC’s 37 state CLEC business and its nationwide, 2000+ local calling area managed modem business. Wendell was also Vice President at Bright House Networks in Tampa, Florida where he was responsible for the launch of and sustaining leadership of a stand-alone competitive local exchange carrier capability created to supplant an existing outsourcing provider across the entire footprint of operations in Florida, Michigan, Alabama, Indiana and California.
Patricia Roth has been a Certified Public Account (CPA) for over 30 years, starting her career as an auditor for Deloitte. She achieved the highest score on the CPA exam in South Carolina and earned the Elijah Watts Sells Award for being one of the top scorers in the United States. Patricia has worked with OmniTech Advisors for the last several years as project manager of the FCC’s Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program for a medium-sized communications company. She has maintained a 100% record of approval in applying for the program, modifying cost estimates to actual costs, handling requests for information, and submitting claims for reimbursement. Patricia’s skills have ensured that the client received the full amount of funds available for reimbursement under the program.
